NAMASTE!
Some of you could be going through some challenging times at the moment. Whether that is with your health, your relationships or money issues.
To help navigate this time (and it will pass) I would like to share with you something I bring into my life (when I remember, because after all I am only human) is the practice of NAMASTE!
Namaste is a sankrit word which holds profound significance beyond its literal translation. It can be used as a greeting and also at the end of a yoga practice. The hands are placed into prayer position and the head and torso bow forward as the word Namaste is spoken with the intent that “the highest divine light within me honours the highest divine light in you”. It is the reflection of the belief that divinity resides within every soul.
When we are triggered by someone and remember this concept we can view a situation from a completely different way. We also stay in our own power and decide how we want to be in our life and in the lives of others. After all, no body can make us feel something this is a choice that only we can make (whether consciously or not).
It DOES NOT mean we discount bad behaviour or allow others to step over our boundaries but it DOES remind us that everyone acts and behaves from their own pain. Underneath that pain is a divine soul.
AND the bonus for those who practice this concept they can manifest more quickly their desired outcome.
Practicing the concept of Namaste involves embodying its essence of respect, unity, and acknowledgment of the divine within oneself and others. Here are some ways to incorporate Namaste into your daily life:
- Greet others with sincerity: When you greet someone, whether it’s a simple “hello” or “Namaste,” do so with genuine warmth and respect, recognizing the inherent divinity in them.
- Cultivate empathy: Take time to truly listen and understand others’ perspectives, acknowledging their experiences and feelings with compassion and empathy.
- Practice mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness practices such as meditation or yoga to connect with your inner self and cultivate a deeper awareness of the divine essence within you.
- Treat everyone with kindness: Extend kindness and compassion to all beings, regardless of their background, beliefs, or differences.
- Serve others selflessly: Engage in acts of service and kindness without expecting anything in return, recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings and the opportunity to serve the divine in others.
- Live with gratitude: Cultivate a sense of gratitude for the blessings in your life, recognizing that each moment is an opportunity to express gratitude for the divine presence within and around you.
- Forgive and let go: Practice forgiveness towards yourself and others, recognizing that we are all imperfect beings on a journey of growth and self-discovery.
By incorporating these practices into your daily life, you can embody the spirit of Namaste and cultivate a deeper sense of connection, respect, and reverence for the divine within yourself and others.
What you give out comes back tenfold so what have you got to loose.
