Many of us are going through what is known as an Initiation at the moment. An initiation is a right of passage to a much higher level of evolution.
We each are living our human lives, going along well enough and then we hit a road block. That can be in the form of an illness, a relationship break up, a job loss, the death of a loved one, a financial hardship or some other kind of really challenging experience. We can not avoid these challenges and most of us will experience them in varying degrees during our lifetime.
These challenges on a spiritual level are an initiation to invite us to gather our resilience and ask the hard question of what am I needing to learn from this experience. And this is not at all easy.
I know when I first got diagnosed with “incurable” ovarian cancer one of my dear spiritial friends said to me “You are going through an initiation, but you won’t lose your life, there is just a lot that your soul has chosen to learn through this experience”. Those words changed the way I viewed what I was about to undergo.
There are seven stages and each soul chooses, before incarnation, the test it most needs. Each life time we are growing and evolving and “passing” different tests until we reach enlightment. The tests may be so severe that they involve the life or health of the individual.
According to Diana Cooper there are seven stages and the suffering involved acts as a cleanser. Usually the person going through the initiation undertakes this, not only for themselves, but also for the collective, and this helps many.
I know when I got my diagnosis I prayed HARD to have a miracle healing so that I could avoid surgery or any chemo but I knew I couldn’t “pull off” this miracle. Following my surgery I felt like many many lifetimes of abuse had been karmically removed by the skilfull hands of the surgeons. So I knew it was right for me to have had that surgery.
Because of the opportunity for spiritual growth available now and over the next few years many souls are undertaking these challenges.
The FIRST initiation tests the physical body and results in a spiritual awakening. It was when I burnt out in the Corporate world and was so ill I could hardly get out of bed that my spiritual journey began. It was then that I came across the book The Journey by Brandon Bays and realised the impacts my thoughts, suppressed emotions and beliefs had had on my body. All that I had learned from that experience and then even more I had to put into practice once again when I got the cancer diagnosis.
The SECOND initiation involves taking charge of our emotions and this is one of the most difficult. For example, the fear I experienced after the cancer diagnosis was overwhelming and I knew I had to learn to control that fear otherwise I would be in a constant state of terror and wouldn’t be able to think straight and listen to my inner knowing. I consciously allowed myself to feel the fear when it arose and then would ask myself how is this serving me and what did I need to do about it. It was NOT easy but I would give myself 15 minutes to stay in that fear and then purposely train my mind to focus on other joyful and happy thoughts. Gradually this became easier to do.
This was then leading me into the THIRD initiation where we take control of our thoughts and use them constructively.
The most devastating is the FOURTH which is known as the crucifixion. (This is what Jesus experienced when he died on the cross, however our experience of the crucifixion does not necessarily mean we need to die – Jesus supposedly did die on the cross to save us). This initiation involves the offering of yourself at an emotional level and tests your deepest fears in order to lift some of the fear in the collective consciousness. It often involves rejection and loss on a personal and emotion level.
And following on from this, the FIFTH initiation, we can use what we have learned to be of service to others.
Then comes Ascension, the SIXTH initiation. This is where we are able to stay in a high vibration and don’t allow ourselves to succumb to lower vibrational egocentric activities and thoughts.
The SEVENTH initiation is taken out of body after death. This is where we review our life and decide on our next step. In order to pass this initiation we must agree to do that which is for the highest good of all.
Once we have an understanding of the soul’s journey and what we have experienced in our life it can help us accept whatever has transpired. You HAD to experience what you went through in order to get to where you are now. This was all part of what you signed up for.
There is no doubt these initiations are difficult and this is where I can support you. Please reach out if I can be of service.
With love
